At Fathom, Wayne Scott provides marketing counsel, strategic direction, and expertise in the supply of feedstock to major petrochemical and refining clients in Western Canada, and is frequently retained to provide regulatory and commercial expertise relating to pipeline projects from the northern frontiers. [Mr. Scott is a co-founder of Fathom Energy.]
Mr. Scott has over 27 years of experience in the Canadian oil and gas industry, primarily with Chevron Canada. He joined Chevron in 1978, after spending five years as a marketing representative with a major international petrochemical company. In 1992, he was appointed Vice-President, Marketing and assumed responsibility for the sale and disposition of Chevron's upstream production, including natural gas, crude oil, sulphur, natural gas liquids, and power. He also maintained the Canadian feedstock purchases for Chevron's refinery and petrochemical facilities located in Edmonton, Vancouver, Salt Lake City and California and managed its Canadian midstream assets.
As a member of Chevron's management team, Mr. Scott was engaged in setting the company's strategic direction, entry into new growth businesses, and the establishment of internal control and risk management processes.
Mr. Scott has been a member of several regional corporate boards, including Gibson's Energy, PanAlberta Gas Ltd., Cansulex Ltd., Rimbey Pipeline Company, Sultran Ltd. and Pacific Coast Terminals. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Prism Sulphur Corporation.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Simon Fraser University and a Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Alberta.
